Sponsorship & Events Co-ordinator

  • Hybrid working (head office / remote split)
  • Salary circa £33K
  • Fixed term contract until 31st December 2024
  • Near Epsom, Surrey (due to location own transport is beneficial)

Our client, a global automotive company based near Epsom, is looking for a Sponsorship & Events Co-ordinator, who will have the chance to work on the activation of global sport sponsorships and deliver experiential events including the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

This role sits within Marketing & Communications but will support the cross-business delivery of our client’s Sport Sponsorship and Events projects both internally and externally.

Sponsorship : Responsible for the planning, execution and evaluation of all sponsorship & sports marketing related projects, with the main focus the Olympic & Paralympic partnerships in the UK

Events : In conjunction with the output from Sports Sponsorship and the client’s Experiential calendar, the role enables bringing the brands to life in a physical way for customers and guests to gain greater awareness, understanding and increase consideration.

The ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.

Key responsibilities:

Sponsorship:

  • Supporting execution of the client’s sponsorship strategy to Paris 2024 (Olympic / Paralympic / Special Olympic) across three pillars: Content, Community & Champions
  • Supporting delivery of the ‘Parasport’ grassroots activation plan
  • App Management to include quarterly prize management, engagement tracking and leading on cross business comms to maintain momentum
  • Leading on internal engagement in collaboration with the People Team to ensure that our client is maximising sponsorship rights to better engage, inspire and motivate their staff
  • Dealership engagement, leveraging sponsorship IP & rights
  • Management of athlete ambassador appearances and athlete vehicle programme including handover process and mileage tracking
  • Budget management including tracking, regular reconciliation and raising of POs

Events:

  • Project Management of elements of the client’s Experiential Programme, Goodwood, FoS, BBC Good Food and BTCC
  • Relationship ownership with retail awareness partners, maximising ROI from activity across the UK
  • Creating and collating reports on outputs of client’s Experiential Programme

Skills & Experience:

Essential

  • Strong written & verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team (internally and externally)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Project Management skills

Desirable

  • Sponsorship marketing or events experience
  • Automotive experience
