We have a fantastic opportunity for a Front-Line Repair Technician to support the dealer network repair vehicles and help ingrain a Fix-it-Right Mentality.
The opportunity
Our client, a global automotive company based near Epsom, Surrey is looking for a Front-Line Repair Technician. This role would be suitable for somebody who would like to step away from tools and move into and progress within a corporate environment – Head Office. You will be working within Product Quality & Service Support to assist the network, and the relevant authorities with technical advice, reporting technical issues, and resolving any ongoing technical cases – mainly diagnostic fault finding to repair vehicles. Ideally, you will have a strong technical background, diagnostic or master diagnostic technician level.
Responsibilities
*You’ll be in direct communication with our network’s technicians and after sales personnel, supporting them to resolve ongoing technical cases using the Fix It Right mentality.
*Supporting new model launches by working closely with the manufacturing plants to provide Early Detection and Early Resolution of technical issues.
*Providing repair support to customers and 3rd parties via our technical hotline.
*Identify new trends in vehicle repairs and warranty concerns to support our Product Quality team.
*Inspecting vehicles at dealers to fully understand the root cause of an issue.
*Supporting internal departments in relation to technical issues.
*Developing best practice initiatives that allow the network’s technicians to perform Fix-It-Right to an ever-higher standard.
Your key skills will include:
*Confident in communicating with our customers and internal stakeholders.
*Recognised motor vehicle qualifications.
*Experience working at a high level of motor vehicle technical support.
*Customer handling skills
