1st/2nd Line Support Engineer Permanent £35,000 – £43,000 + bonus
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading global asset management company.
Working in a newly opened office specialising in the tech space you will be providing 1st/2nd line support to a young and vibrant team of 30 people where you will be involved in all aspects of support, working in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same, dealing with all levels of staff up to VIP’s
Your area of responsibilities will include:
Delivering the highest level customer service and technical support.
Proactively identify and recommend solutions to improve performance, reliability, and manageability of the Windows platform.
Configuration of desktop system deployments, imaging, asset management and security of desktop environment. Configuration of mobile devices, printers, headsets.
Video Conference – support, troubleshooting and monitoring of VC meetings
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of advanced troubleshooting tools such as Windows Debugger, Process Monitor, Windows Performance Toolkit, etc.
Your technical experience will include the following:
Microsoft OS (Windows 7/10) Microsoft Office Suites (2013/2016 Office 365).
Strong understanding of fundamental Windows technologies, including: Active Directory, group policy, Windows Debugger, Process Monitor, Windows Performance Toolkit.
Intermediate understanding of imaging technologies, including Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, SysPrep, Windows PE and enterprise backup technology.
Experience with enterprise security product, such as anti-virus, SSO, data-loss prevention and encryption software.
Develop and document procedures for routine operations including troubleshooting, support, and product administration.
Perform system upgrades and incorporate new technologies to the infrastructure minimising effects on the user experience – working nights and weekends as necessary.
Actively assist and participate in the implementation of systems, infrastructure and related network and communications hardware for the enterprise.
Intermediate abilities and expertise in support of network communication protocols, especially TCPIP and WAN communications.
You will also have:
A strong analytical ability.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, experience of supporting VIP’s.
Excellent prioritisation and time management skills.
Ability to function independently – self-motivated.
Communicative and take pride of sharing knowledge and information.
