Senior Project Manager – Permanent – up to £60K depending on experience + benefits Near Epsom – commute easiest by car

Our client is looking for a Project Manager (Prince 2 Practitioner or equivalent) with experience of running projects well to join their team based near Epsom, Surrey (currently on a hybrid working model – subject to government Covid advice) :

Broad Overview
-The role would be suited to someone who has worked on many different small to medium projects.
-It is a challenging workload with stakeholders, vendors and delivery requirements so the role will require patience.
-It can be fairly non text-book so there can be delays. As such it the role would suit some who is neither too structured or too loose in their approach.
-You should have the following :
oProject Management certifications
oExperience in application and infrastructure
oExperience is some non-IT projects (e.g. a new HR system)

Job Summary

-You will be responsible for the management of small and medium scale business and IT projects from initiation through to delivery into Production systems, as allocated by the Portfolio Manager.
-Defining and managing the projects resourcing, scope, risk and governance including project budget, milestones, change, communication and service transition.
-Managing project teams from anything from 3 to 20 plus team members that may compromise a mixture of IT, Business and Vendor resources. This may include business analysis, development, testing, configuration management, application and technical support, financial management, purchasing, legal and regulatory, operations and training resources.
-Supporting the Portfolio Manager with any other activities as required.

Essential Skills/Experience
-Experience in Project management roles including managing many small projects (1 to 3 months elapsed timeframe) and more than 3 medium projects (3 to 9 months elapsed timeframe).
-Managing multiple projects at the same time, in different phases.
-Experience in various project delivery processes, including detailed planning, risk and issue management, budget forecasting, resource management, and financial control.
-Experience in Waterfall & Agile Methodologies.
-Experience in various project management tools such as MS Project.
-Experience in Software and Systems Development Life Cycles.
-High level awareness of the IT infrastructure and business application landscape.
-Stakeholder management experience, with the ability to influence and earn the confidence & trust of senior stakeholders.
-Experience in defining, implementing, and continuously improving the processes and working practices required for successful project delivery.

Desirable Skills/Experience
-Previous Automotive or Automotive Finance experience.
-Experience of IT delivery in an Asset Finance organisation, or another Financial Services or Banking organisation.
