Search Specialist – Permanent – £40000 – £47000 dependent on experience – near Epsom, Surrey (commute easiest by car). 12 month fixed term contract

The role :

Our client, a global automotive company based near Epsom, Surrey is looking for Search Specialist to join the Marketing Communications Team. Within this exciting opportunity you will :

*Act as a Search specialist for and stay up to date and informed on changes to the search landscape and opportunities
*Understand and stay up to date with consumer behaviour that may impact on Search behaviour in the key areas of the client’s operations and purchase journeys
*Take ownership for the delivery and day to day management of implementing the Search Strategy, leading the Search Steering Group.
oPaid Search – management of all agency activity on Paid Search, briefing, reporting and alignment with internal stakeholders
oSEO – Working with client’s website teams to support on SEO reporting and alignment between SEO and PPC, attending key SEO meetings to ensure two channels are operating in a complimentary way
*Act as primary contact for all search related questions and requests across the client working with stakeholders from across the business and organisations
*Make recommendations to Brand Consideration Manager and Search Steering Group for adjustments to plans and prioritisation
*Act as key contact to ensure information and insight from consumer search behaviour is reported on and shared at an appropriate level for each stakeholder
*Agree and oversee progress of 1st party data integration roadmap into Paid Search and reporting of outcomes
*Work with client’s Agency to define and deliver quarterly and annual review process for Search activity including progress towards objectives and reconciliation of time and media spend activity
*Take ownership of the client’s ‘Search Playbook’ refining and rolling out to key stakeholders, and implementing regular reviews and updates where appropriate
*Act as lead contact for development of usage of 1st party data within search
*Co-ordinate any internal training requirements identified for the client
*Budget management: Support with management of a multi-million pound Search budget ensuring maximum value is derived, completing financial reconciliations and transfers, making recommendations for any redistribution or re-prioritisations and supporting budget planning for FY22.

Qualifications and experience you’ll need:
*Paid Search & SEO – 5 years + (or equivalent), of which 3+ years (or equivalent) is hands on experience managing significant Paid Search activity
*Consumer focussed
*Google Ads accreditation and other platform certification

*Experience managing an agency to achieve results

Skills & Behaviours you’ll have:
*The role will be approximately 50% Management of agency activity on Search and developing action plans based on your Search Expertise. But 50% will be working with internal stakeholders and aligning on priorities and activity. Therefore excellent stakeholder and project management skills working successfully at all levels, will be essential to achieve success
*Excellent presentation and influencing skills
*Able to simplify & communicate complex or unfamiliar concepts in a clear way
*Consensus building and management of competing objectives

*Understanding of ecommerce and the role of search via Search Engines or marketplaces
