KYC Business Analyst – Banking
£505 – £545 per day
6 month initial statement of work/ contract

You would work PAYE through my consultancy client so you would receive holiday pay and pension as well as assistance in finding your next role! (Rate circa £505 – £545 per day)

Role Description

This role is a technical/business analyst role to work with the program integration services team on the analysis, definition and development of digital attestation and dynamic document capabilities to complete onboarding and kyc processes.

Key to the role is understanding the data requirements of our onboarding applications, determining how to produce and play back to Customers key onboarding information they have provided; to validate they are comfortable with the information and are in agreement with terms and conditions, legal text, mandates etc. that facilitate the onboarding journey. The challenge is to achieve this by providing customers and staff with a positive user experience while satisfying policy requirements across all the markets we support. The work includes collating requirements in alignment with the product owner vision and roadmap, and then co-ordinating delivery with Developers and Testers across the Wholesale Client Services Program, whilst also obtaining buy in of the relevant business colleagues and legal teams across these markets to deliver functioning software services. The analyst will be expected to:

determine what data needs to be collected from customers, staff via our Question Service.
translate this into appropriate questions and data points assimilated into our data model and define how these are presented to customers and/or staff
Define data mappings for inbound / outbound integration through APIs
Define and understand complex signatory rules for connected p[arties for electronic signature, wet signature and digital attestation
convert all these elements into well-structured testable JIRA Stories for development by front-end and back-end API developers where required
help to define appropriate enhancements to the MIDAS Question Service
work as part of an agile team engaging with developers, business SMEs and testers to ensure requirements are understood, developed and tested
Key Accountability:

Specific accountabilities include:

Analysis of the data requirements and any interdependencies or rules associated with an aspect of an onboarding policy element, process step or system/api related to digital attestation and Dynamic documents
Elaboration and articulation of detailed Feature/Epic requirements
Elaboration of Features into Epics and Stories as required
Deliverable Epics and Stories to enable development of Features
Timely delivery of root cause analysis to identify the underlying cause of issues;
Provision of support to the wider analysis team
Responsibilities:
Work with the Data Architect, Solution Architects, other BA’s and the Product Owner to refine Feature requirements and designs and the associated Epics and Stories
Articulate detailed requirements based on interviewing business stakeholders or analysis of policy documents and APIs
Translate Feature/Epic/Stories work into JIRA in appropriate formats and maintain any associated Confluence content
Act as a point of reference to support configurators, developers and testers with resolving any questions on data points or Epic/Stories
Support business users and testers with any questions or issues relating SIT/UAT of Features
Scheduling sessions for clarification and verification of Epics and user stories with the appropriate development teams – and with core users in the business community as well as legal, across the 20 markets in question
Maintain up to date knowledge of the program Data Model and technical components (APIs, Databases, etc) that you work with
Maintain up to date knowledge of wider program Features and Capabilities
Helping other analysts who are blocked to identify options for clearing the blocker
Raising defects where the root cause analysis identifies an underlying issue with the platform
Suggesting enhancements to the tool where root cause analysis identifies a capability shortfall
Competencies:
Experience as a business and technical/systems analyst, preferably in the commercial banking sector
Experience working with data modelling, systems analysis and documentation techniques
Experience of API Microservices and how they apply to capturing Electronic signatures and dynamic document generation for account opening, mandates, terms of business, Declarations of trust etc.
Experience with using JIRA & Confluence to document Features/Epics/Stories and to track delivery
Experience articulating requirements as use case based user stories and articulating acceptance criteria in Gherkin format
Experience in the use of Microsoft Access (or equivalent) and Excel to an advanced level, including writing macros if required
Experience of working with a virtual team made up of stakeholders and IT colleagues from multiple disciplines, geographies and time zones
