Our client is seeking and inquiring mind, with a love for data architecture design patterns who will maintain, secure and guide our wide range of database environments and usage, from a variety of tools, according to industry best practise.

In this role, you’ll support software developers, database architect and business analysts to ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. You’ll be responsible for expanding and optimising data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimising data flow and collection for cross functional teams. You should be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products.

What you’ll be doing:
Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
Assist departments looking for data / monitoring reports to design efficient data extraction queries
Identify, design and implement internal process improvements; including the automation if manual processes, optimising data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for scalability etc.
Design the process required for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and Cloud-based ‘big data’ technologies
Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights in to database performance and early warning dashboards
Work with stakeholders including the executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
Keep our data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centres and cloud regions
Create data tools for analytics and business team members to assist them in building and optimising our product in to an innovative industry leader
Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems
Maintain legacy database systems and investigate ways to improve / upgrade and enhance them
What you’ll need to do it:
Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of database technologies
Experience building and optimising ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and datasets
Experience SQL performance tuning on a variety of database technologies
Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets
Design processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management
A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets
Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing and highly scalable ‘big data’ data stores
Strong project management and organisational skills
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
Experience with Analytics Platform – Google Analytics or Amplitude, or similar SaS platform
Experience with CRM Dynamics, maintenance and design
