Originally formed in the late 1970s as the computer services arm of a FTSE Top 100 company, its primary function was the provision of IT services to the corporate group. With levels and demand growing rapidly for computer resources, TLP's reputation for providing quality staff and services became recognised by many other Blue Chip companies.

TLP quickly established itself as a major force in the computer industry, and as a market leader in the sourcing of high calibre IT personnel. Following a management buy out in 1989 TLP became a wholly independent company.

By steady and sustained organic growth, the group now employs over one hundred technology based staff. The range of business services today incorporate an information technology company which specialises in computer hardware procurement, network design and installation, cabling, software support and hardware maintenance.

In 1996, a new group structure was established to give a clear identity to the business activities we provide. As part of the restructuring, TLP Consultancy was formed to incorporate our contract and permanent recruitment divisions.

From our inception, working within a large multinational organisation, to the present, smaller independent environment, we recognise and understand fully the needs of both. The company's continual growth and success in new markets are a testament to the principles and practices TLP have always adhered to.
